Swimming Program for Non-Resident Dogs

Resident dogs who enjoy swimming have access to our enclosed, in-ground, saltwater pool and its beneficial effects on health and mobility.  Our swim program is also available to non-resident dogs of all ages.

This program  gives dogs who do not reside at the sanctuary access to supervised swim or water exercise sessions at the Marty's Place Dog Swim Center.

  • Available by appointment on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, plus Saturdays.

Swimming has been shown to be an effective, low impact exercise for dogs, especially seniors and those with mobility issues or other conditions.

The Swim Program for Non-Resident Dogs is not limited to seniors. Dogs of any age who could benefit from this form of exercise or who simply like to swim have the opportunity to do so,  individually or in small groups.

  • All sessions are supervised by a Marty’s Place staff member or trained volunteer.
