Life for residents at Marty’s Place is stimulating and engaging, with options for enrichment available daily.
Resident dogs have ample opportunity for exercise, indoor and outdoor play, leashed walks, hanging out together, or socializing with staff and volunteers. However, their paws down favorite pastime has to be napping in the family room — preferably with a friendly human nearby.
Sanctuary residents also have access to the Marty’s Place pool, where they can swim or engage in water exercise – a low impact physical activity shown to be especially beneficial for older dogs.
Dogs residing at Marty’s Place receive regular grooming. Their nutritional needs are monitored and health issues addressed.
Health care routinely handled in the home, such as basic first aid or administering medications prescribed by a veterinarian, are likewise handled on site in our treatment room.
Access to consistent medical and dental care, including twice-yearly wellness visits to a veterinarian, emergency treatment, and special diets or dietary supplements if indicated, are all part of our commitment to the senior dogs in the Marty’s Place family.
